SHANNON BROWN ASSIGNED TO ALBUQUERQUE THUNDERBIRDS

The Cleveland Cavaliers have assigned guard Shannon Brown to the Albuquerque Thunderbirds of the NBA Development League, Cavaliers General Manager Danny Ferry announced today.

Brown has played in 13 games (four starts) for the Cavaliers this season and has averaged 2.3 points and 1.2 rebounds in 8.8 minutes per game.  He posted a career-high 10 points on Nov. 29 vs. New York.  Brown was selected by Cleveland with the 25th overall pick in the 2006 NBA Draft.

The Thunderbirds are the D-League Affiliate for the Cavaliers, Indiana Pacers and Phoenix Suns.
