Will LeBron Reach His Ultimate Dream With The Cleveland Cavaliers?

Yesterday LeBron James appeared on Oprah Winfrey’s show as his first in-depth interview since his NBA debut. He didn’t cry, jump on the couch or go Tom Cruise on her, but as usual, he was very calm.

He talked about his mother Gloria and how well she raised him through the tough times they went through.

“I wish I could sit here and give you words to describe what my mother means to me. There aren’t enough words in the dictionary. I don’t know how she did it.”

After his first big paycheck, LeBron went out and bought his mother Mercedes-Benz SL500.

Then they talked about his hero, Michael Jordan, and how he picked number 23 for his jersey hoping this number can be as lucky for him as it was for MJ. Let’ hope it will this next season!

“Man, meeting Michael Jordan for me was, like…black Jesus walking towards me,” LeBron says. “It was overwhelming to me to finally meet the guy I’ve looked up to my whole life.”

LeBron’s girlfriend was with audience too and talked about how she is dealing with the pressure and the reputation basketball players have.

LeBron promised himself to give back to the community if he ever made it to this leve, but still winning the NBA Championship is LeBron’s ultimate dream.

“I think long term, in basketball, the ultimate goal is to win the NBA championship,” LeBron says. “My life won’t be satisfied without winning an NBA championship.”

Danny Ferry Is Looking To Add Another Big Man And A Third Point Guard

With two roster spots open, general manager Danny Ferry is still shopping. “The Cavaliers have been in talks with free-agent center Jahidi White for much of the summer and hosted him on a visit last month. They’ve also been in touch with free-agent big men Christian Laettner and Andrew DeClercq among others. Several other free agents have come to Quicken Loans Arena to work out in recent weeks, among them former Utah Jazz center Ben Handlogten” Brian Windhorst reported today.
