Ohio State’s basketball team will wear new jerseys next week that include a logo of LeBron James and will also be issued James’ signature shoes.
The logo on the Nike jerseys reflects James’ name and his Cavaliers uniform number 23.
The Buckeyes will wear the formfitting jerseys, which give a tailored look, when they begin play in the Big Ten tournament.
Ohio State is in the first year of a seven-year, $16.3 million contract with Nike. Most of the financial benefit of the deal involves providing uniforms, shoes and other gear for athletes in the university’s 36 intercollegiate sports.
