Drew Gooden’s contract talk update, could be heading to Lakers!

The deal signed by Nene with the Denver Nuggets is affecting the Cavaliers ability to come to terms with restricted free agent Drew Gooden.

Gooden’s agents decided to pursue sign-and-trade options for the restricted free agent forward, Brian Windhorst of the ABJ said.

“According to two league executives, the Cavs are hoping to schedule a meeting with free agent forward Reggie Evans next week and might also look to pursue another free agent big man, Lorenzen Wright.”

Hoopsworld.com put a list of eight reasons why Drew could be heading to the Lakers. I don’t think that is possible though.

“There have been some rumors that the Cavs were in talks with the Phoenix Suns for a sign-and-trade involving Gooden and forward Kurt Thomas. According to insiders, that isn’t currently a possibility.” Brian Said.
