Cavaliers Throttles The Bobcats (96-79)

Lebron James barely missed a triple double netting 22 points, nine rebounds and nine assists in only 30 minutes. He sat out most of the fouth and the Cavaliers didn’t need him.

“It was kind of weird seeing LeBron on the bench,” center Zydrunas Ilgauskas said. “We got away with it, and if we can do that it will only help us and help his career.”

“We had a lot of guys contribute and I got a lot of rest,” James said. “Coach believes in our roster and I believe in our roster. I don’t have to average 42 minutes like I have in the past because of our depth.”

Daniel Gibson scored 25 points — 20 in the first half, and Mo Williams added 17 (7-for-14 shooting) and adding seven assists and four boards.

Ben Wallace had five blocks, 10 rebounds and two points.

The Cavaliers now hit the road for a pair of tough contests, including a Saturday night affair with the Hornets, followed by a Monday night matchup in Dallas against Dirk Nowitzki and the Mavericks.
